Nunez is a testicular cancer and stroke survivor who has found food and fitness perfect tools to feel better mentally.
He has struggled and still struggles with mental health challenges but uses his story as fuel for his book "Voices Over Cancer". It's a book created by Summit Quest, an organization that helps people during treatment/diagnosis. They do a yearly edition of stories written by cancer patients and/or family of deceased cancer patients to give hope to others in similar situations.
