Lisa Jo's first book is 'The Pit Of Despair- How God, Prayer and the 12 Steps Saved My Life From Addiction'. It is a memoir of her addiction story. Here is more on our guest:
- I am a recovering sex, cocaine, food, and love addict.
- I also work as an Adult Outpatient Peer Specialist at a community mental health center. I run groups and co-facilitate classes on healing arts, writing, and mindfulness, among other topics.
- I work one-on-one with people struggling with their mental health conditions and addiction.
- I work with those who are at high risk for suicide. I have lived experience with Bipolar I and Complex PTSD.
- I love traveling internationally, drinking iced green tea in the morning, collecting Swatches and Hello Kitty, making art, and swimming laps.
